While standing in line at McDonald's near The Container Store on 19th and 6th a few days ago, I overheard a woman behind me talking on the phone, saying:
"Nobody in the room got up but I told myself, 'I fricking need to leave.' So now I'm outside buying an ice cream. How was your meeting?"
Pause.
"Was John there?"
Pause.
"Ha ha! So he posted?"
Pause.
"I mean, did he show up?"
Postedit has now entered the lexicon as a verb in reference to people, meaning "to appear", as in when you click publish, a new blog post appears on the Web.
Alright, it's official

posted! that's a new one. One that i came across recently was - we are on the same page abt that.
Hmm, yes. I think the saying "on the same page" had its origins in music, as in when two players are on the same page in the music score.
diz, are we on the same page abt the model and colour of the handbag? Can't wait to see it 'published' on my hand.
Heh heh, good one :)
Inneresting.. can it apply to both active and passive appearances? I mean, say if a guy attended an event solely for the purpose of evidencing his attendance (maybe even just for a teeny weeny while) but not contribute or say anything to anyone (unlike a post in a blog, which has content, unless we're publishing an empty post, which doesn't make sense), does that count as him "posting"?
