Categories for Blogger

I can't wait for Beta Blogger to introduce raw HTML editing. As soon as they do that I will migrate without delay (you should too!), because I want to have proper categories for my entries — which is finally available on the new Blogger. Also, not only was using Delicious tags as categories a second-best solution, it doesn't use Delicious in the spirit it was meant for, really, and I'd like to stop abusing it.

Furthermore, I think Blogger's intention is to migrate us all to the new Blogger at some point, and I'd like to migrate ahead of the crowd. I would have migrated already if it weren't for the fact that I can't control the layout of my website in the Beta version.

For example, I don't need a monthly archive and I'd like to be able to get rid of it (which I've done in the current version of Blogger, but can't in the Beta version).

Update: I realize now that what I said was a load of nonsense. Of course you can hide "Archives" in the new blogger. I know, I've just tried doing it and it works.
