I am having a slow day.

Today was one of those days where I just couldn't get anything done. I was really quick off the blocks with the laundry (three loads, washed and folded by 10.45 a.m.), but it was downhill from there. I am supposed to have balanced the checkbook, double-checked the tax cheques, made sure the credit card is paid off and, somewhere along the way, get a facial and cook dinner. As of now, some of those things are done, some aren't.

The weather is back to being its awful self again, blustery and cold at first and then sneaking up on you with the warm and nasty. Every time I come back from being outside, I am so boiling hot from my sweater, scarf, jacket, et cetera, that I get into a bad mood and don't really want to do much.
