On regretting being too cavalier.

I'm supposed to be writing right now but in the course of my "research" I got distracted and ran into this clip on YouTube, which I immediately Favourited because I adore Frank Zappa and all his musicians. I wouldn't call myself a Steve Vai fan -- I'm more of a flowers and candy-cane girl who occasionally ventures out of pop music, and am not really an out-an-out guitar geek -- but I totally love him in this video, as he talks about auditioning for Frank Zappa's band. He's so well-trained. Go Berklee!

I wish I had not been so cavalier with my own musical education.
