Two-thirds of the way through the lecture on "The Hudson: How Clean Is Clean?" I got a severe headache and became very chilly, so I left. I went to Amir's and ordered a moujaddara, had two bites and felt so nauseous that I asked for it be wrapped up to go. I got into the subway and felt that I was going to get motion sickness, so I fought my way off and made my way back up to the street. I walked south for four blocks thinking the exercise would make me feel better. It didn't. I felt dizzy, so dizzy. It felt like my brain was growing a tumor. I regretted not inviting someone to come with me, who would have kept me company while I suffered. I didn't know what else to do at that point, so I called Hooman and told him what was happening with the headache, feeling sick, and so on. It made me feel a little better just talking to someone who I knew cared about me. It occurs to me now that I could have called Kat, who lives in that area. I could have had a quick lie-down on her couch. Anyway, Hooman suggested that I get in a cab to Port Authority where I could catch a bus to where we live, which I did. On the bus, I stood by the door and did all I could not get sick on the bus. As soon as we crossed into New Jersey, which thankfully took two minutes because the tunnel was clear of traffic, I got off at the first stop, in Weehawken, and made the rest of my way home on foot because I would have thrown up had I stayed on the bus.
At home I got undressed and fell into a deep sleep for about an hour. I woke up with the headache gone, probably due to the Advil I took, but I was still chilly and now discovered I had some soreness in my joints, notably around my fingers and feet.
I probably got bitten by an insect.

Or did you get bitten by the Baby Bug? ;-)
Hope you feel better girl !
diz, you better now?
No, I can confirm with 100% certainty I wasn't bitten by the baby bug. A juvenile insect perhaps.
I'm not so okay, still a little off. But not dying!
Diz,
The change of weather perhaps? Anyho, take care of yourself and hope you're getting better.
Thanks. Am much better today.
