As for what's happening in Malaysia, it's so rubbish. And yet, I can't vilify the people involved. The reason is, they're friends of friends (on both sides). In some cases, I'm semi-friends with their kids. I feel like bashing them, but then the wind goes out of my sails when I realize they're friends of friends, or parents of friends. I end up saying to myself, "I'm sure that Uncle knows what he's doing. I'd better just watch quietly." But the truth is, I don't see a problem with letting ethnic Chinese or Indians run the country for once. Or Dayaks, even (or whatever the hell those SAPP people are). As long as they're likeable by a majority of the population and honest most of the time, I don't see a problem. Will someone like that please, please stand up?
