I've got an ongoing task on my desk at home, which is to balance our balance book -- if that makes sense. Something in the year 2008 is off, and I haven't been able to suss out the mistake. Because of it, the 2009 worksheet is off, too.
For a Virgo sun it's a task I should be able to complete with ease because we're meant to be detail-oriented and totally in love with sorting out messes. But it's slow going.
Part of the problem is that Hooman has set up the date column in such a way that I can't sort by date, and as a result, I can't analyze ATM withdrawals by month (and we make millions of ATM withdrawals throughout the year). If I was an Excel genius, I would fix it, but I'm not.
However, now that I think of it, "if I was an Excel genius but I'm not" no longer suffices as an excuse, especially now that we live in the Google era and can Google our way out of fixes. So if you'll pardon me, I'm off to Google myself out of this hole.

Diz, tried subscribing to your blog on Google Reader but someone else's blog pop up instead! & when I tried to put in the whole thing, i.e. with the http://, it doesn't register the URL.

I am absolutely doing ( or trying to do ) the same thing and I can't remember which day I spent what. And my virgoan husband is very into detail shucks !
