Diz,
What a brilliant idea.
And how about having tea in the afternoon served with dessert (pengat/goreng pisang etc..etc.),or biscuits between 3 to 4. My grandmother made sure we served the tea in tea set with tea pot and everything when we visited her.
My mother served tea every day at home after Asar, which was great because I was often hungry when I got home from school at around that time, and it was good to have something to fortify myself with. As I grew older and came home from university or visited while on holiday from work, it coincided with the end of my exercise regimen in the afternoon. Often the meal would consist of goreng pisang or pengat, or sometimes mee goreng.
So really, I had four meals a day: breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. If only I ate the nutritious bits! I wouldn't be stunted like I am now and my teeth would be in better shape. Ha!

Diz,
I want to know who invented Cincalok and Belacan. If you can research on that, I would love you forever, although I already love you now ehhe :P
I really would have no idea where to start! I guess the first thing I would do is go to neighbouring countries that have older civilizations and see if they have anything similar and hope that mention of cincalok- or belacan-like things appear in scrolls and things. Digging up history in Malaysia is hopeless because it would seem we have nearly nothing preserved from the past that reflects the lives of everyday people, only royalty (it would seem).

Ngala Njala here. I love tea, anytime of the day, but especially before bed and after yoga--quite calming
